Our amputation surgery was 21 short days ago, and while we initially doubted the decision we made for our girl, today we are filled with gratitude in seeing how well she’s recovering and how her quality of life has rebounded ten fold. Although we’re nervous about starting a course of chemotherapy tomorrow, we know the time we’ve gained with our Margie is truly a gift. She’s played in the snow, we go on walks, she’s recently learned to ‘sit’ again without having to lay down and she’s getting more snuggles than ever before. Thanks to this community for your support and continued positivity.
What a gorgeous girl! And her eyes…I bet she uses that look to convince you to give her just about anything. She’s irresistible!
Omg Margie your face! I bet your parents never say no to you when you have puppy eyes like yours! Hope the chemotherapy went well for you today!

Oh Marge, that face just melts my heart! Are you looking so sweet so Santa Paws will bring you more presents? If so, it’s working! Hoppy Pawlidays!

Your post is exactly why we do what we do! Recovery is full of uncertainty and soibt….until the sparkle comes back!!! Then we know for sure we do this FOR our dogs and not TO them!
